The Gathering Place is intended to be just that, a place for friends and family to come together. This home sits on a half acre lot in the Alpine neighborhood of Peak 7 that offers the comfort of the private home while only minutes from the slopes. With two levels, and two separate "gathering" rooms, it works well for those times you want to enjoy socializing with some separation between adults and children.
The home was just remodeled during the summer of 2008, and offers many layers of luxury. You will be impressed the minute you walk in. The owners have spared no expense turning this house into a true luxury home.
Upon entering, you’re greeted by wide open spaces with a beautiful slate entryway and hardwood floors throughout the main level living areas. Brand new high end furnishings in the living room provide ultra-comfortable seating and a warm ambience. The living room also boasts a floor to ceiling river rock gas fireplace and a state of the art entertainment center with 46” LCD TV, Blue ray disc player and IPod docking station.
The gourmet kitchen boasts granite countertops, a huge island with a breakfast bar and custom alder cabinets. The built in high-end appliances are all gorgeous and highly functional, including a Wolf gas cook top. Off the kitchen is a lovely formal dining room with skylight windows and seating for 10.
The master suite on the main level, with a king sized bed, has also been completely remodeled. The spa-like bathroom, with heated floor, is equipped with a large walk-in shower with multiple shower heads and a river rock floor. The separate water closet features an electronically operated bidet with a heated seat! Also on the main floor are two additional bedrooms. The second bedroom and third bedrooms both provide queen beds and share a full bath. A fourth bedroom is located downstairs with two bunk beds (4 twin beds). There is a third bathroom across from the bunk bedroom with a shower stall and a separate dry sauna room. Lastly, there is a Queen Murphy bed with a pillow top mattress (yes, a real bed) disguised as an armoire in the family room. All together the house sleeps 12 maximum guests.
The wrap around spacious deck can be accessed from the living room through French doors. Grill your favorite meat on the gas grill, or just soak up the sun from the deck while relishing the thrill of gazing at the mountains.
The family room is on the lower level with comfortable seating, game table, foosball table, TV, Xbox game system and two sliding glass doors that open to the private hot tub and back yard.
In the laundry room, there is a brand new Fisher & Paykel extra quiet full size washer and dryer. In addition, there is a cool air boot dryer that can accommodate up to six pairs of ski boots. This home also has one garage stall for guest use, and complimentary WIFI is available.
